GENESIS

Looking back, I’ve always been a bit of an eccentric. My father set high standards for me, showing me the true potential of will-power and control over one’s own mind. My mother raised me with the confidence to conquer the world. She fostered in me an artistic appreciation for even the smallest details. This mix of ambition and creativity has guided me for as long as I can remember. From a young age, I’ve known my life’s vision. As a result, I’ve always been independent; indifferent.

I excelled in school… yet, I hated it. New experiences, meaningful relationships, creation; these are the things we live for. At the end of the day I’m always found isolated, working on one project or another. I’ve had ambitious dreams my whole life, and academia alone couldn’t provide this. I left to create my own way.

I create this exhibit of content to connect with those who walk a similar path.

 WHY CREATE THIS?

At the end of the day, this project is for me.

I’ve always gotten so caught up in my work (creating things for others), that I forget to create things for myself to enjoy.

This is my art. It’s not meant to be understood necessarily. It’s simply supposed to be meaningful to me on an emotional level.

So where as one’s work may objectively serve the outer world… This, on the other hand, isn’t supposed to make sense. Emotions aren’t necessarily logical. So for my art, I don’t question that.

I just create what I think is cool. For me to enjoy. Even if that means it doesn’t make any sense to anyone.. myself included.

I opted for “de” over the letter “d”, since the literal translation means “of”.
